Official Account Agreement

This agreement applies in addition to our regular Terms of Service, specifically to accounts marked as a government or NGO account on Karachiwala.

Who this is for

Official accounts are never self-registered. Each one is set up personally by Karachiwala's founder, after being asked to confirm who the requesting organization actually is. Requesting an official account means you agree to the terms below.

You confirm that

• You are actually authorized to represent the government office or organization you name when requesting the account.
• The name, information, and contact details you provide are accurate, and you'll tell us if any of it changes.
• You understand the location pin attached to your account is a landmark only. It does not define a coverage zone, and it does not mean Karachiwala has assigned any report to your organization.

Resolving reports

Marking a report “Verified Resolved” still requires the exact same evidence rule as any other account: a real, in-app-camera photo of the fixed problem. There is no exception for official accounts. A resolution photo that misrepresents what was actually done is a violation of this agreement, not just our regular terms.

Not an endorsement or partnership

An official account does not make Karachiwala part of, endorsed by, or in a formal partnership with your organization, and it doesn't make your organization responsible for how Karachiwala operates. It simply lets your organization be correctly credited when it resolves something.

We can revoke this at any time

If we find that an account was granted official status based on inaccurate information, or that it's being used to misrepresent what was actually done, we can remove its official status immediately, without advance notice. We may note publicly that an account's official status was revoked, since keeping the record honest matters more than keeping the removal quiet.
